About Our Team

We are a team of independent insurance agents who all specialize in the retiree market. We have over 30 year of experience in helping those with Medicare find the most suitable plan option for their unique needs.

Ever year our agents complete more than 100 hours of certification as well as a mandatory annual exam. We follow all guidance from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Maggie Stedt

Insurance Agent

Margaret “Maggie” Stedt is Independent Contractor/Licensed Agent and Consultant. She is a Certified Senior Advisor and a member of NAHU’s Leading Producers Round Table at the Soaring Eagle Level. Mrs. Stedt has over 40 years of experience in essential areas of the insurance industry including sales and sales management and product development and product management.

Maggie is CAHU’s President for 2020-2021and served as the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) Region 8 Membership Chair 2014 – 2018 and on the NAHU National Medicare Advisory Committee from 2016-2020. She is a Past President of Orange County Health Underwriters (OCAHU) serving two terms.

Maggie is the founder of the Senior Medicare Summit that has grown from 200 attendees in 2012 to close to 1,000 attendees annually and has actively promoted Medicare Summits throughout the association. She is also the founder of the Medicare Builders Group.

Maggie is a Distinguished Toastmaster and currently serves as a Lay Speaker and the Lay Leader for Palisades United Methodist Church in Capistrano Beach for 2019-2020.

Maggie and her husband of over 40 years, Jim, live in San Clemente, CA with 2 young kitties and enjoy spoiling their nieces and nephews plus an occasional trip to their local casinos!

Juan Lopez

Insurance Agent

JUAN LOPEZ – is a 29 year insurance professional who worked at Ameritas, Aetna and Kaiser Permanente in various roles including provider relations, account management and sales. Juan retired from Kaiser Permanente as the Senior Director of Sales where he was responsible for Southern California Small Group, Large Group, Public Sector and Strategic Sales.

Juan is a past president of the Inland Empire, Orange County and California Associations of Health Underwriters, and currently serves as the Vice President of finance of OCAHU. He was honored with the NAHU Presidential Citation Award in 2018.

Juan joined Applied General Agency as an SGA and Colonial Life as a broker consultant to help clients with their Medicare and voluntary group benefit needs.

He attended California Polytechnic University in Pomona, where he earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration where he majored in Small Business management and minored in Marketing. Juan is a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity has been married to his wife Shirlene for 34 years, enjoys traveling, wine, golf and photography.

Josie Melo

Insurance Agent

Josie Melo is the President and Founder of Mosaic Health and Life Insurance Services, a Premier Insurance Agency located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her mission is focused on Educating, Advocating, Advising and Enrollment of Medicare members. Josie and her team work with their clients far beyond their initial enrollment in Medicare plans accessible to Seniors and clients to answer questions and help with any issues they may have and update them on changes to Medicare annually. Mosaic Health and Life Ins. Services is focused on cutting health care costs and improving health outcomes and services for Medicare Members.

Josie education serves her well in addressing the needs of the Senior Medicare Market. She has her Undergraduate degree in Business from San Jose State University and Master’s Degree from Santa Clara University. Josie is an active Member of the Golden Gate Association of National Health Underwriters and Committee Member for the Third (2018) and Fourth (2019) Annual N. California Medicare Summit in August.

Her Medicare Insurance experience spans 13 years. In 2008, Josie was chosen from over 200 applicants to be the Community Outreach Director for CareMore Health Plan in San Jose. She was a significant factor in the success of this branch and upon leaving in 2012 was the Top Sales Agent, then promoted to Northern California Director for South Bay Health and First Sierra Insurance Services.

Josie’s passion for helping Seniors in the community and those who serve them has enabled her Agency to grow from the San Francisco Bay Area to San Diego. Her ability to explain Medicare effectively, listen to the needs of her clients and train others to do the same has her team achieving top honors year over year as a direct result of her drive and commitment for excellence. Her Team of dedicated agents expand from Sacramento to San Diego achieving success through education, technology, innovative marketing and their collective desire to help Serve and Respect the Seniors of our Communities.

Ryan Dorigan

Insurance Agent

Ryan Dorigan is the President of Sunrise Health Insurance Solutions. Before starting his own agency, Ryan spent 14 years working as a regional sales manager with Applied General Agency, one of the leading Medicare General Agencies in the country. He was essential in helping AGA qualify as a Soaring Eagle Agency. Ryan spent over a decade recruiting, training, and providing direct support to agents getting started in the Medicare market. In was in this role that Ryan worked with the planning committee to help organize the very first Senior Summit back in 2013.

Ryan is CE credentialed in several states, and he has been invited to speak about various Medicare topics all over the Country. He is passionate about the role of the independent broker and the essential service they provide. He has been a long-time member of the National Association of Health Underwriters. He has served on the board of the Orange County Association of Health Underwriters for several years and he served as President of the Orange County Association of Health Underwriters from 2018-2019. Ryan has been recognized by the Orange County Association of Health Underwriters several times for his outstanding service and for his work in legislation and Educational Resources. In 2019 He was awarded a Presidential Citation from the California Association of Health Underwriters.

Ryan has been married to his beautiful wife Melissa for 6 years and they are the proud parents of two pugs.

I am the President of an Orange County sales office with 25 employees. I had the opportunity to meet with Juan Lopez and he helped my wife and I enroll onto a Medicare Supplement Plan F.
